An Aftercare sheet will be given to all customers after recieving their tattoo.

Leave the bandage on for at least 1 hour unless your artsit states otherwise.  Wash your hands and then wash your tattoo with warm water and a mild soap;  touching lightly you can rub of any blood, ointment and excess ink using your hands. Do not bandage your tattoo again unless you were instructed to do so by your artist.  Once you have finished washing your tattoo, gently pat it dry with a clean towel, do not rub.  We recommend you wash your tattoo at least twice a day, as well as anytime that you may have sweat excessively or been in a dirty environment.

Once you have dried your tattoo let it get some air for 15 minutes or so and then apply a thin layer of Bepanthen First Aid or a moisturiser such as Cetaphyl.   Please do not put too much on as you may get a heavy scab which will slow the healing time and cause excess ink to be pushed out of your tattoo giving it a faded or aged appearance.

Your tattoo will begin to peel off in 7-14 days.  Do not pick or scratch your tattoo while it is healing as this will damage the tattoo and delay the healing process.  While your tattoo is healing please avoid swimming, baths or saunas as bacteria can be present in the water and cause an infection to the area which is essentially an open wound, quick showers are fine.

You should also avoid exposure to the sun while your tattoo is healing and do not apply sunscreen to an unhealed tattoo. After it has healed completely we recommend using a quality sunscreen when you do go in the sun to help you protect and maintain your tattoos quality.
