Grit

Grit grew up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and got his first tattoos in 2012 at Manly Tattoo, now known as Whistler Street Tattoo. After high school Grit studied photography and travelled across Australia taking photos of bands as they toured the country. Photography and travel helped shape his creative outlook

Grit has been tattooing full-time since 2019, with a focus on traditional tattooing and folk art. Grit says: "My approach is simple: I’m not looking to reinvent the wheel, just to do it justice. I see tattooing as a lifelong craft, with always something new to learn, refine and put into practice. That constant process of learning and improving is what keeps me motivated to create the best tattoos I can for every client."

Grit can tattoo any style and brings his attention to detail to every client no matter what tattoo they are getting. His tattoos are always made with the future in mind so they heal well and look great for a lifetime.
