Joel Vandenberg

Joel was raised on the Northern Beaches and has been into art from an early age. He began coming into the shop to draw and do odd jobs in late 2023 and began his apprenticeship in April 2024. Joel has a great work ethic and keen eye for details which is reflected in his drawings and the quick progression he made during his apprenticeship. He did his first official tattoo in January of 2025 and became our junior artist in October of 2025. Since then he has tattooed a lot of his own flash designs an has become one of the best fine line artists on the Northern Beaches. He is inspired by Ed Hardy and Filip Leu who helped pave the way for what tattooing is today. Joels tattoos continue the tradition of solid tattooing with bold lines and saturated colours.
